Joan was five when her grandmother began teaching her the art of sewing. Joan was asked to tear paper from an exercise book and follow the lines on the page with a Singer treadle machine.

Decades later, Joan still delights in sewing.

Aware the fashion and clothing industries are some of the major producers of global waste, Joan is determined to save well-made products from landfill.
She up-cycles blankets, materials, lace, mens ties, buttons, threads, patterns and more to that end.
Each element of a coat is cleaned before re-purposing.

Each of joan’s coats has lined sleeves,
